Tired of mainstream? Check the nichemarket with some rare and a lot of fresh kicks and gear.

I am Bobby Webster. I am just a fan of sneakers and streetwear in general. I have worked in a few different sides of the clothing business before opening NICHE. We opened up NICHE and launched the site in September of ‘05.
On our current site you will find some rotating images of the store, a news section and new arrival pics. Customers are able to find & purchase some of the merchandise that is available in our retail store in Charlotte, NC. We carry Nike, Adidas, Vans Vault, Creative Recreation, Gravis, PF Flyers, Alife, JB classics (Sept), 10 Deep, King Stampede, Staple, WESC, UARM, Stussy, Freshjive, PRPS denim, Edwin denim and more!
The motivation for the site was just to give people a view of the store and what we are about. One interesting feature we implemented on our site is a press / design page. In the year we have been opened I feel we have done a lot design wise. This includes different logos, ads and various promo materials. I really wanted to showcase what my designer friends have done.
Comment from us:

The man who is responsible for the Pigeon Dunks writes about sneakers, the business and his life. Jeff Staples blog offers insight into one of the leading minds in this biz. (Darrin Hudson should really google his name to know whats up…)

Some words from Jeff Staple:
I think everyone had a “Darrin Hudson” in their lives. Darrin Hudson was in my high school, back in Marlboro, NJ. You know, that person that you had to one-up all the time. Didn’t matter what it was: Gear, hair, grades, sports, whatever…it was ON. Well for Darrin and I…it was kicks. Plain and simple. Oddly enough, in a school with over 1000 kids, me and him were the only 2 really into sneakers back then.
This is my blog dedicated to Darrin. This is to tell Darrin that I’m still out there, and if he wants to battle, here it is son!! Bring it!! I’ve since lost touch with Darrin, but thanks to him, you all get to check out the kicks I have amassed over the years. So it is here, that I will archive every pair of shoes I own.
It’ll include detailed photos, a grading system, a little tidbit behind each one and every single one will be available for purchase. (Simply POST A COMMENT with your offer). Some other little goodies sprinkled throughout also. Even if I updated a different shoe every week, it would take me about 3 years to complete this project. So sit back and enjoy! The project begins January 1st, 2006…

C. Badiola the man behind Metik Designs shows some custom sneaker on his site that were designed with a lot of love for details. Some impressive paint jobs.

Some words from C. Badiola:
My website serves as an electronic portal to view my portfolio of current artwork. I try to bring a different and unique look to sneakers with quality and wearability as high priority. There are no boundaries to what I can do with the skills and tools in my possession. I work with paintbrushes, airbrushes, and leather burning. I also have the abillity to reconstruct shoes and have machined stitch together. You will be able to find my contact information as well as available designs that are available for purchase.
Dave White is a very gifted artist and the best thing for all of us is that he uses some of his time to create sneaker art.

Some words from Dave:
What can I say… I am an artist and I love sneakers ! I set out in 2002 to paint my own collection, never anticipating the love for all things sneaker related out there.
I never tire of painting classics like the Jordan V, which to me is in the same league as a Ferrari or Mustang plane. As long as the brands keep producing great stuff, I\’ll be inspired to paint it.My website features a varied collection of old and new work with an online store to buy prints directly.
It also gives some background information on what, when and how I ended up here. Check out the past events and exhibitions for photos of the last few years. It\’s a great game to be in and I\’m grateful of the opportunity to be in it and meet so many cool people.
Peace,
Dave
