Well what can I say. I started customizing sneakers half a year ago. I entered the Scandinavian Adicolor/Vice contest for fun (designing an Adidas Adicolor shoe on paper and maybe qualifying to the final top ten). So I qualified, went to the finals in Sweden, did what I came to do and I actually won. Then it was on.

A bit later I also qualified for the International Adicolor contest but unfortunately I didnt win. I got the 4th place, but it was fun joining. So now I make sneakers on a weekly basis. I sell them online, in sneakershops, in magazines and in excibitions. Im (ofcourse) also a graffitiwriter, a graphic designer, photographer, illustrator and a dj.
The name Johnny Jaywalker comes is really my dj name. JJ just turned in to my artist name in a way. (we are a dj-trio from Norway called the Jaywalkers. (which is Johnny Jaywalker from the Johnny Walker whisky + Jacob the Jaywalker from Jacob The Jewler & Luke Jaywalker from Luke skywalker)) check out www.thejaywalkers.blogspot.com.
(thx for the review Johnny)

I have been an artist since I could walk. Working with everything from clay, to drawing, to musical instruments and film, I’ve always been into the creative process and “making things”.

I got into shoes years ago and soon began applying my art to my love of kicks. I have some projects coming up that I am excited about. In the future, I hope to transform my artwork into a tool for social change by expressing my views through various forms, paticularly shoes and clothing.

Sekure is now a well known designer in Australia. Growing up surrounded by a culture that didn’t encourage his art Sekure covertly practiced his works for years before being contracted to co-ordinate the interior design and painting of various basketball and hip-hop shops within Melbourne.

His work began with street art, web-graphics and custom signatures which enabled him to develop an attention to detail and patience which is required in the field of clothing customization. Being a dedicated collector of rare footwear Sekure has formed an appreciation of the importance of style, uniqueness and quality of finish that is required for a shoe to outlast current fashion and to surpass common trends or fads. This is why each design created is totally unique and thus you will own a one of a kind Sekure-D couture item. Untamed by theme or style Sekure blends graphics, symbols and text within an underlying current of street art to craft a design based on the ideas conveyed by you or inspiration sought elsewhere.
