A void currently exists within sneaker culture, with many heads sharing in the view that there is a big gap between what they want and what they’re given.
From an actual shoe perspective, things are cool; it’s always been about keeping your ear to the ground, utilising your contacts and being first in line. In terms of the other ‘elements’, however, they’re neglected and somewhat lacking. Speak to any sneaker enthusiast and they’ll readily tell you what they want - regular news scoops, interviews with key players and in-depth information. In general, a more qualitative appreciation of sneaker culture is almost as sought-after as the shoes themselves.
Crooked Tongues aims to address the above issues by adopting a holistic approach. Being enthusiasts ourselves, we know only too well of the need to address sneaker culture from different angles and in ‘proper’ fashion. We’re also aware that the current online experience is staggered, with a little bit of information here, photos there and shoes somewhere else. Sometimes it feels like a treasure hunt! Our goal is to gather the various elements of value to the sneaker community and create a single online resource.
Quality is our number one priority and our philosophy is simple: if we’re not feeling something, it doesn’t go in the site, period! Given our backgrounds and love for sneaker culture, we’re confident that our decisions are representative of the sneaker community. We don’t want to rely solely on marketing blurb about how well we know you. At the end of the day, actions speak louder than words, so let’s get down to it…

First off a little background info on me… my name is Joey Abboud, I’m 23 years old and I’m a 4th year Film Student in Canada - so besides reppin PUMA all day I’m actually working on films and developping my filmmaking skills…
I grew up rocking PUMA kicks, I got my first pair when I was 8 bro!!! And since I grew up with Italians all my Italians friends rock’d PUMAS….and all their friends rock’d PUMAS and so on…. So I grew up in this underground movement of kids expressing their kicks!!! I remember seeing this 11 year old kid coming to school in his PUMA Suedes HiTops and had customized his laces, they were a different color and they were wider and fatter then regular laces
- and that really caught my attention…. After that I started collecting PUMA kicks like a fien…. It became addictive every pay check I’d get from working @ a Coffee shop I’d spend it on getting the latest PUMA kicks!!! When I was 16 I had around 30 different kicks and it just grew from there. Now I have well over 80 PUMA kicks and it’s still an addiction!!! But it’s a form of street expression!!!
Over year ago I had prolly the brightest idea ever and that was to create a interactive PUMA Lifestyle community for PUMA enthusiats. Because I knew there was a demand for it, I mean before PUMATALK, PUMA Heads would go online on any sneaker site and talk about PUMA & random kicks, there wasn’t a dedicated site just to talk about PUMA kicks!
PumaTalk has a bunch of benefiting features for members and guest, your Forum is dope filled with mad relevant information and we monitor it like crazy to ensure accuracy and relevancy from our members contributing to the Brand.
Moreover we educate our members/guests on the Brand we also give tips how to spots fake kicks online and to stay way from them!

This is the sickest sneakers forum, they have a good visual dunkpedia fake guide and a lot of info on sneakers especially on all SB kicks…The site was incorporated on the April 13th 2005 by sidious the founder of the site.

I’ve been on Nikeskateboarding.org almost as soon as it was launched by Sidious in around April 2005. Of course the site didn’t bear much fruit in the beginning, but when our community grew, so did the information that our site holds now. Even though it may seem that the site caters mostly to skateboarding and dunks, Nikeskateboarding.org is also deep within the borders of Jordans, Bapes, other Nike sneakers and clothing gear. Not to mention the people of the site love to help each other out within each forum and especially in the legit check forum. Also our Buyer feedback system gives the persons of the site almost the assurance that they will not be frauded. There is also a Hall of Shame Forum which lists almost every person whos frauded from either NSB.org or on any other sneaker forum and to keep buyers or sellers aware.. There are just so many things that make me proud to be apart of this site. Especially how closely knit everyone is, and how flaming another member is almost rare. We are just there for another, and this is why I actually enjoy going to the site.
Oh and not to mention our SB dunkitionary…Which lists every tidbit of information about the sneaker.. Including the release date, rareness at launch, the artist or collaborator.

This is the board for French speakers. News, forum, videos, links section everything is there for sneakerheads to enjoy. This forum is the meeting point of all french sneakerheads wether in France or living abroad. Much too often all the exclusives were left to the foreign, mostly american and asian forums and blogs, sneakers.fr is our chance to get a piece of the cake. The atmosphere on the forum is like no other I have experienced and is greatly responsible for my daily dose of good mood.

For a lot of people Niketalk (NT) is the best sneaker forum out there. Run by fans, for the fans… no profits are made from the site.
The site has been around since 1999 and is often the first to break news in the sneaker world. The amount of information, pictures, and posts make this site one of the best sneaker forums. Its the biggest memberwise and postwise. Over 8 million posts and over 50,000 members show how popular this site is. It was the earliest forum since Nikepark (rip).

Niketalk has a very loyal fanbase. We received over 10 reviews of the site in the last 12 hours in which people for example claimed nikepark was bombed by nicaraguan terrorists and niketalk is “da bomb” run by nobody else than Nelson Mandela or Nelson C (pick one).
