Sneakart - Custom Sneakers for Everyone
Sneakart is a new company, created by ex adidas and Puma designers, that has created a totally new, non permanent method of sneaker customization.
The concept is basically stickers for sneakers that are made from ‘sneakskin’, a specially developed, super thin, sticky, graphic film that’s waterproof, durable and flexible. The film is clear so can be applied to any light coloured, white or metallic shoe. We’re offering pre-cut stickers that are super easy to apply and pattern sheets where, with a little bit more skill and care, you can apply a graphic to a whole panel and create amazing custom effects in minutes.
The application is not permanent but can last several months and then peeled off like a normal sticker. Sneakskin flexes and moves with the shoe and looks like it’s part of the leather. We have a library of hundreds of our own designs and we’ll also print out uploaded designs. People can allow us to sell these if they choose and make a royalty from each sale their designs make. We will also showcase collaborations and will highlight featured artists - uploaded artwork that we really love and want to promote.
The main idea behind this concept is that it’s a quick, fun and inexpensive way to customize shoes that you will wear everyday, rather than shoes you might keep for display. You can refresh your design whenever you feel like it and you can easily experiment with different looks without destroying a shoe.
